Position the feet shoulder width apart, knees bent slightly. Keep the head and spine neutral throughout the exercise. Bending at the hips, grab the barbell with an overhand grip, and pull the bar up pushing your feet through the floor. Depending on your level of flexibility, lower the barbell back down to the middle of your shins or if you can, touch back down to the floor.
